Things you should not miss in Nha Trang

Nha Trang is one of the best attractions in Vietnam. It attracts millions of tourists every year. The reasons are on its sandy beaches, cool waterfalls, untouched mountains,…If you are about to visit Nha Trang for several days, the destinations below should be on your plan.

Tran Phu street is the most beautiful street in Nha Trang. It runs down Nha Trang coast. Its one side is the exclusive resorts, such as Intercontinental and The Sheraton, and the other side is the beach. When walking down this street, you can feel both the beauty of nature and the bustling atmosphere. There are also many cafes, bars, pubs and restaurants near the beach so that you can stop anytime to enjoy a meal or a drink.

Dam market

Dam market has been the biggest market and the commercial shopping centre of Nha Trang city for many years. Besides a wide range of products, Dam market is also well-known for its beautiful and unique architecture. If you look it from above, you will see the image of a blossoming lotus flower. This is not only the highlight of the market but also make Nha Trang more attractive to international tourists. 

Like many big markets throughout Vietnam, Dam market sells nearly everything in its colourful stalls, including clothes, accessories, household items, foods, electronics, books,…Moreover, you also can enjoy Vietnam’s traditional foods in Dam market.

Nha Trang cathedral

Next, you cannot miss Nha Trang cathedral – the largest church in this beautiful city. Its breathtaking views make it a popular spot for wedding and photography. Made of stone and stained glass windows, Nha Trang Cathedral is also a place for the young to check-in. There are three cathedral bells from the 18th century but they still work well.

Nha Trang cathedral was heavily influenced by French architecture. It was built with simple blocks but looks very elegant. From the city square, you can take 53-step stairway to the cathedral entrance. Or you can go another stone way to the yard of Nha Trang cathedral.

Ba Ho waterfall

Ba Ho waterfall is just about 20 kilometres to the north of Nha Trang. It has been a favourite destination for people who love hiking, picnics, fishing and swimming. In Vietnamese, “Ba Ho” means three pools because it is comprised of three different waterfalls. Each of them ends with a lake which is surrounded by a forest.

Almost parts of Ba Ho waterfall are kept in its natural state. People just add some arrow pointers and build some cement steps so that tourists will be safer when exploring this spectacular waterfall. From the entrance to the first waterfall, you will walk about 30 minutes. There are larger stocks on the way to the second and the third waterfall. Therefore, you really should wear comfortable shoes and bring some clothes as it may be colder in the forest.
